Intelligence Officer at 31st Air Base Battalion

As an employee of the 31st Air Base Battalion, you will serve at the largest unit of the Helicopter Wing and become a vital part of Sweden's defense. We are growing and looking for someone who wants to work as an intelligence officer at the battalion staff.

31st Air Base Battalion

The 31st Air Base Battalion consists of four companies and a battalion command with an associated battalion staff. The four companies include a Staff/Logistics Company, a Protection Airfield Company, an Air Base Security Company, and a Basic Training Company.

As an intelligence officer, you will belong to the battalion staff and serve as a command node between the companies at the base battalion and the wing staff in the intelligence area.

Main Responsibilities

As an intelligence officer, you belong to the intelligence and security section (S2). In the role of intelligence officer, you will produce and share intelligence on a regular basis as well as during operational activities and before various types of missions. You will conduct area analysis and share intelligence with the battalion's personnel.

Your task is to map security threats and propose protection against them. Your work will involve many varied tasks focused on creating a safer operation. You will participate in the daily work of supporting the operation with security and intelligence services. Within this framework, you will plan and conduct security planning, security assessments, investigations, and handle security matters. You will participate in analysis and planning work and compile and process intelligence.

In the war organization, you will serve in a position determined in consultation with the commander based on your own experience and interests.

Qualifications

• Approved officer training (OF)
• Training in intelligence services
• Experience in security assessments
• Driver's license (B)
• Meets the Swedish Armed Forces' physical requirements

Meritorious

• Experience in government work and knowledge of laws, regulations, and directives in the security area
• Experience in security protection and information security
• Previous service in military intelligence
• Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in English and Swedish

Personal Qualities

As an intelligence officer, you are meticulous, clear, and committed. The tasks require you to be stress-resistant and have good collaborative skills. You are development-oriented and enjoy driving work forward and achieving goals, both independently and together with others. You are attentive and unpretentious and have a good ability to see the big picture. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
